Filmmaker Chris Garetano is in the house to talk about his 2015 documentary Montauk Chronicles, which examines the stories of three men who claimed to be involved in one of the more sinister government programs anyone this side of the Upside Down has heard of. It’s a program that’s rumored to include some serious high fuckery: child kidnappings and murder, mind kontrol, time travel, extraterrestrial intelligence, other dimensions, and a chair. And if ya didn’t catch the Stranger Things reference there, the Montauk Project was the inspiration for that hit Netflix series, for those unaware.
Chris also has a new show debuting on the History Channel in August called The Dark Files, the first episode of which continues his investigation into the Montauk Project.
All of that sets the stage for this conversation, which requires both an open mind and a hefty dose of discernment. Per usual.
